Alaska - Land of the Midnight Sun
Beauty like no other and a rich history that didn't make it into most textbooks - prepare yourself for an expedition of a lifetime. Backpack, kayak and raft your way across the Last Frontier. Alaska's glacier fed, twin lakes are nestled deep in the heart of the over 4 million acres that make up Lake Clark National Park. Renown for breathtaking views, challenging mountain peaks, and spectacular wildlife the Twin Lakes region offers opportunities for both the novice and expert outdoorsman.

Follow in the footsteps of Richard 'Dick' Proenneke who first explored the area as a personal test of stamina and skill over 40 years ago. Visit the cabin he built from the ground up with self fashioned tools before beginning your own exploration under the tutelage of your personal guide.

From Port Alsworth, Alaska hop a float plane and travel 45 miles north to Turquoise Lake, your home away from home for the next seven days. Ascend soaring mountain peaks, traverse horizontal ridges, and photographing Dall sheep as you retrace Proenneke's steps. Join our Wilderness River Paddle instead and you'll need all of your mental and physical faculties to navigate this small headwater. Sweeping trees may block the river, class III whitewater challenges your paddling skills, and wild grizzlies roam the river banks. With aching arms and light spirits you'll experience life anew as you float these wild, scenic waters. Break for day hikes, hillside picnics, and even an occasional nap. Head resting on the colorful, soft Arctic tundra the midnight sun warms your soul and gentle breezes sing you to sleep. If you'd like to experience a little bit of everything with evenings spent in the comfort of our luxury lodge, then our Multi-Sport program is for you. You'll fly into Denali after which opportunities to raft, fish, hike and photograph fauna and flora abound. Your trip ends with a trip on the Alaska Railroad.

Come experience Alaska as few have with our Twin Lakes Paddle, Wilderness Raft, or Multi-Sport programs.
